Ingredients
350g1 3/4 cup strawberries quartered
100gabout 1 cup blueberries
1/3cupsweetener of choice I used xylitol*
1/4teaspoonCinnamonoptional
1/4cupof water
Instructions
Put strawberries, blueberries and sweetener in a sauce pan and begin cook.
When the mixture begins to bubble, add the 1/4 cup of water and reduce the heat to low.
Allow to simmer until the fruits softens. Mash the fruit with a fork or potato masher.
When the compote thickens to your liking, turn off heat, Sprinkle cinnamon if using and allow to cool
Transfer to a clean jar and store in the refrigerator for a week.
Notes
* if you have dogs, be careful with xylitol as it harmful to dogs
