Tell us your amazing story:
IFY: I started this amazing journey on the 13th of July 2017 with a weight of 98kg. I needed a change in body badly. I was tired of the recurrent boils, Big Tommy, Breathlessness when I walk short distances, body and joint pains, just to mention a few.
I got to my target weight of 68kg in 5months through being consistent, disciplined, sticking to meal plans and joining boot camps. I also surrounded my self with friends and Amazing coaches who knew the lifestyle and were there to cheer me on.
Apart from the compliments ‘hey you are looking good’ ‘I want to loose weight too’ People couldn’t recognize me again lol. Omg Some would actually stop me and say ‘Hello please don’t be angry are u Ify?’ And I would be like ‘Yes please’ The Keto WOE has brought me a lot of joy and if I may say so, this is God’s original meal plan for His creation. I have maintained my weight at 65kg since January 2018. That was my final target.
The fact that people get inspired by my journey and have achieved their dream body as well keeps me motivated. I’ve learnt how to prepare a lot of healthy meals. I’ve met lovely people in the course of my journey.
I don’t intend to stop.( for those saying its too much) hell no , cos the benefits far out weigh the negatives.
Why did you choose the Keto Way of Eating ( WOE )?
IFY: I wanted to lose weight in a healthy way with little or no stress.
We all know how challenging a keto diet can be. Can you tell us how you survived the first two weeks on this WOE.
IFY: I kept my mind focused on the goal
How has keto changed your life?
IFY: In 3 sentences, keto has increased my Confidence, I, am Healthier and Fit, My clothes fit better lol. I also realised how discipIined i could be.
Do you count your macros strictly?
Do you exercise? If yes, how has it impacted your success?
IFY: Yes, I do low to moderate impact cardio and other Workouts targeted at my problem area ( Tommy) . I exercise Basically to Firm up. Exercise stalled me a bit when I was losing weight, Besides that, I enjoy exercising because it boosts my mood and helps me keep my trim body.
IFY: Yes . I stalled when I combined exercise with this WOE. I broke the stall when I incorporated Intermittent Fasting ( IF )
How long did it take you to get visible results?
IFY: 3 weeks. My first observance was through a face lift when I compared my face in two pictures. I lost 7 kg in those 3 weeks.
What was your motivation to stay on track and not give up?
IFY: The fear of being over weight. Plus I want to keep wearing size 10 dresses.
Did you follow a meal plan strictly or Did you go freestyle?
IFY: I followed a meal plan.

What are your top 3 meals on Keto?
- Veggie Salad with egg or a can of sardine.
- Goat meat Pepper soup.
- Compliant Soup. Swallow was very optional for me. I didn’t swallow until I got to my target.
What do you think contributed to your success in this WOE?
IFY: I had amazing coaches who where always there to answer my questions. Then embarking on this WOE in groups made the journey easier for me. Finally, I discovered what works for me
Are you on the maintenance or weight loss mode?
IFY: Maintenance mode.
How long did it take you to get to your target weight?
IFY: 5 to 6 months
What words of wisdom would you give newbies to this way of life (WOL) to keep them motivated ?
Keep it simple and stick to your meal plan, ask questions and past your meals for correction and accountability.
