What to serve with salmon
Salmon can be served with a verity of sides that even non low carb eaters will enjoy. Below are some of my faves!
How to store and reheat
Store cooked air fried salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.
You can reheat salmon in the air fryer or microwave. To reheat in the microwave place in a microwave safe plate and microwave at 30 seconds intervals until warmed through.
Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (180°) for 3 to 5 mins or until warmed through.
- Don't overcrowd - Cook fillets in a single layer so air circulates evenly for crisping.
- Lightly spray basket with oil if needed to prevent sticking or use parchment paper. Learn how to put parchment paper in the air fryer safely.
- Use a meat thermometer to check 145°F internal temperature for doneness.
- Adjust cook times for thickness of fillets and air fryer model.
Yes! Arrange coated fillets on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 400°F for about 15 minutes until flaky and the internal temperature has reached 145°F (63°C)
You may have to cook less salmon at one time in a smaller appliance, but cook times should be about the same. Watch closely as sizes vary.
While I personally prefer to flip, flipping is not absolutely necessary! The circulating hot air crisps and cooks the salmon fillets fairly evenly on all sides.
It doesn’t need to be fully thawed. You can also cook from frozen. The only thing is that you will need to add more time.
Asparagus, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower and brussels sprouts all make great veggie sides to serve.
