    Sugar free Chapman Drink Recipe

First and foremost, most Chapman recipes online and in the restaurants are loaded with refined sugar starting with the carbonated drinks traditionally used to make Chapman.

The grenadine syrup which is an important ingredient in a Chapman recipe is a pomegranate syrup which is equally loaded with sugar and carbs.

Some recipes call for black currant drink to add to the color of the Chapman. That too is loaded with sugar.

How to make keto Chapman with Zobo/Hibiscus Syrup

    Good news! One of the key ingredients in Nigerian Chapman; the Angostura bitters is keto friendly so all I needed to do was substitute the other keto unfriendly ingredients with keto approved substitutes. here are my subs;

    • I Swapped the carbonated Orange and zesty Lime drinks with the zero calorie version of each. I used Sprite Zero and Fanta zero in this Recipe.
    • I swapped the the grenadine syrup with my Zobo/Sorrel Concentrate (Sugar free Hibiscus Simple Syrup

What you need to make this keto Chapman a reality!

    • Fanta Zero
    • Sprite Zero
    • Angostura bitters
    • Zobo / Sorrel/Hibiscus petals for Hibiscus Syrup

This is the perfect Keto drink to start the new year. Happy new year low carb friends. Let's make this year our best low carb year yet. Yes we can. #ketostrong

    Ingredients

    • 4 cups Fanta Zero
    • 4 cups Sprite Zero
    • 1 medium cucumber thinly Sliced
    • 1 lime Sliced
    • ⅓ cup Zobo concentrate (Hibiscus syrup)
    • ½ tablespoon Angostura bitters
    • Ice cubes

    Instructions

    • Transfer cucumber slices and lime slices into a clean juice pitcher
    • Pour Carbonated drinks (Fanta Zero and Sprite Zero into the pitcher.
    • Then pour in the Angostura bitters and Unsweetened Hibiscus Syrup into the pitcher.
    • Stir the drink together with a cocktail mixing spoon or a long spoon. Chill in the refrigerator for up to 2 hrs then serve over Ice

    Notes

    1. You can serve immediately over ice but I usually prefer to let the drink sit in the refrigerator for up to 2 hrs because the Angostura bitters, lime and cucumber flavors will seep into the drink and further develop the flavor profile of the Chapman.
