Riced Cauliflower
I had heard a lot about store bought frozen riced cauliflower and I have been curious to know what this cauliflower was all about.
I was wondering if it was any different from the riced cauliflower I made at home using my box grater or food processor.
Each time I passed by the freezer aisle in Costco I see customers stretching their hands and taking the frozen riced cauliflower and believe me it finishes super fast.
One day my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to buy a pack and give it try. In fact I think I picked up 2 packs because I I was going to have a super busy week so I wanted to have riced cauliflower on hand for my various cooking escapades.
When I got home I dumped the bags in the freezer. The next time I have keto rice and stew on the menu, I went to the freezer to try my store bought riced cauliflower. What a time saver. Did know you can also make riced broccoli for and use in salads? You should try that.
First of all I was pleasantly surprised that there were 4 individually packed bags in there which made the frozen cauliflower rice easy to handle.
Then I microwaved it as per package instructions and it turned out fine.
I said to my self yes this looks good and saves time but why not make yours ahead and freeze in smaller freezer bags and boy has it saved me lots of money.
Dear low-carber if you are reading this and you also buy frozen riced cauliflower from the stores, you need to try this homemade version with same benefit of time saving but an edge over the store bought one since it saves you some $$
