    How to make Cauliflower fufu on the Stovetop

    Dear Low carber, just like you can make cauliflower swallow aka cauliflower fufu in the microwave, you can also make it on the stove top. It's just as easy but not as hands free as the microwave option.

    Whichever way you decide to make your cauliflower fufu is not a big deal but make sure you have some amazing soup ready to chow it down with. Just like purple Eggplant swallow is to Amala so is Cauliflower fufu to pounded yam. Lol

    What you need to make Cauliflower fufu.

    • A head of cauliflower
    • Psyllium husks powder

    How to make Cauliflower fufu on the Stove top.

    Making Cauliflower fufu on the stove top is easy. make sure to check pictorial guide below.

    Cut and wash cauliflower. Blend then Pour Pureed cauliflower into a pot

    Cook for about 2-3 mins to cook and reduce the water content.

    Add the Psyllium husks powder, stir well to mix in. Then continue to stir until it comes together. It takes about 3-4 minutes to come together

    Turn off heat, transfer onto seran wrap and wrap.

    Allow to cool. ( as it cools it firms up some more)

    To learn more about how to prepare your cauliflower you can read this post. As always I always have some Pureed cauliflower ( blended) stored in the freezer so this recipe starts with the Pureed cauliflower.

    If you are starting this recipe with fresh cauliflower that's not a problem at all just cut up wash and blend the cauliflower and proceed with the steps in this recipe. I strongly suggest you read this post if you are new to cauliflower fufu making ?

    Making cauliflower on the stove top is very easy and doesn't take much of your time.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 head of cauliflower cut up washed and Pureed
    • 1 tablespoon Psyllium husks powder

    Instructions
     

    • Pour Pureed cauliflower into a pot
    • Cook for about 2-3 mins to cook and reduce the water content.
    • Add the Psyllium husks powder, stir well to mix in. Then continue to stir until it comes together. It takes about 3-4 minutes to come together
    • Turn off heat, divide into 3 portions, transfer onto seran wrap and wrap.
    • Allow to cool. ( as it cools it firms up some more)
    • Eat one portion and save the other portions in the refrigerator for up to a week or in the freezer for 2 weeks or more.
